Are you struggling to get motivated to lose weight?
Do you think that there is no way you can stick to your meal plan because you are not feeling motivated?
You can’t find the motivation to get up off the couch and go for a walk.
Well, did you know that you can feel motivated right now if you choose to be.
Yes, the feeling of motivation is there for you anytime you want, you don’t have to wait for it to come to you.
You get to choose any feeling you want at any time.
Many of my clients are sitting around waiting to feel motivated or inspired, thinking that something has to happen for those feelings to show up.
Sitting around waiting and wishing is never the answer.
How to feel motivated or inspired is knowing that you can generate that feeling you want on purpose.
Hard to believe, I know!
How is that possible?
Generating a feeling on purpose is one of the skills my clients learn in coaching with me, and feeling on purpose can be applied to weight loss but also to all areas of their life.
So how does it work?
First, I want you to be aware that all your thoughts create your feelings, so if that is the case, what do you need to think to feel motivated?
Start by writing down thoughts that you could have that would have you feeling motivated.
Some possibilities might be:
I can follow my meal plan one day at a time.
I always feel better when I follow my meal plan.
Yes, I don’t want to get up and go for a walk, but I always feel better afterwards.
I love eating this way because that means when I step on the scale, I feel proud of how well I did.
I love eating this way because that means I am one step closer to fitting into my skinny jeans.
I can have anything I want to eat as long as I put it in my 24 hr plan.
When you find thoughts that create a feeling of motivation, all your actions will then flow from that feeling.
So if you choose to think positive thoughts that lead to positive feelings, you will take positive actions that reflect the results you have in your life.
Once you find a thought or thoughts that create the feeling of motivation in your body, you practice those thoughts.
It is also essential to practice creating that emotion all day long as well.
That is what feeling on purpose is all about.
You can use this with anything you want to create in your life; all you have to do is decide on purpose what you want to feel and then explore what possible thoughts you can have to generate that feeling.
So what are YOU going to decide to think and feel that will get you to your goad weight and are you willing to practice it each and every day?
