This week has been crazy busy with getting the work done to meet a big deadline. And YEAH, I got it done!
With spending all of my time in the last week working on the project, everything else I felt had to be put to the side.
This morning I woke up thinking I want to get a run in BUT I needed to get the work done for my project.
What happens here to most of us is we then get into the mind chatter, mind drama of going back and forth between the two decisions because they are both important to us.
From this place, in my past, I had ended up not completing the project and not getting the run in because I would get myself in overwhelm of which to choose.
OR
I would choose, let’s say working on the project, but my mind would be telling me, “you should have gone for a run.” When this happens, I don’t put 100% focus on what I am doing because my mind is spending its time and energy, focusing on all the reasons why I should have run instead. I might get the work done or not, and if I do get it done, I didn’t do my best work.
The question is; Is there a right or wrong decision?
The answer is NO!
All you have to do is make ‘A’ decision and go with it 100%. Having your focus on that decision and doing only that for that moment.
I heard this quote the other day, “When you come to a fork in the road, take it!”. So when you have to make a decision, make ‘A’ decision and then commit to doing it.
So, what happened is I got my project done, and then I ended up going for the run. I was able to do this was because I had 100% focus on the project, and because of that, I got it done quicker than I thought I would.
Where are you stuck in indecision with what to do to lose weight? Are you starting something but then second-guessing if you should or shouldn’t do it. Or stuck wondering if there is another way, a better way?
No wonder it is not working to lose weight because indecision will never get you to where you want to go.
Indecision is a choice that is so unnecessary. It doesn’t serve a purpose.
It is only difficult to make a decision when you don’t manage your mind, your thoughts!
You may be wondering how to do that, and it all comes down to becoming fully aware of what thoughts you are having and deciding are they serving you or not.
I watch my clients go from overwhelm and confusion with making decisions to being able to make a decision very quickly, being confident that it is the best one made and then commit to following through on it.
I’d love to help you too!
