I’m Karen Schaible, a Registered Nurse, Certified Life and Weight Coach, and Psychology of Eating Coach.

I struggled with food and my weight since the age of 8. No matter what happened, food was my friend. I felt like I had no control over what I was eating.

I was either on a diet, restricting or depriving myself or eating everything I wasn’t supposed to be eating. I also was a pro at beating myself up because I thought that is what I needed to do to get me to lose weight. 

My day was busy working, running home to make supper for my children and then driving them to all their activities: – so I ate (quick, fast, not so healthy foods).

I woke up in the morning with my to-do list already running through my head – so I ate.

The charge Nurse upped my workload, which left me running in circles – so I ate (the donuts in the report room called my name).

The Doctor came in and changed all the orders, which gave me even more work to do – I ate (that vending machine food was the answer).

I felt so unappreciated – so I ate.

We were understaffed – so I ate. Felt sad – so I ate. Out with friends – so I ate. 
Birthday Party, Holiday or Vacation – I ate …

I ate for every reason; those were all my excuses for why I couldn’t lose weight despite everything I did try. And I tried them all!

With all that eating, I was 100 pounds overweight. 

I was depressed, stressed, overwhelmed, anxious, too busy to care about myself and full of shame and regret. I thought there was something wrong with me; why couldn’t I stop overeating. Why couldn’t I stick with my diet!

It wasn’t until the age of 42 that everything changed for me. I hit rock bottom.

I was physically and mentally not well. I had all that extra weight on my body, but what affected me the most was I was so stressed, depressed, overwhelmed, anxious, unhappy, too busy caring for everyone else except myself and felt like there was something wrong with me.

I couldn’t understand how to stop all of that, so I didn’t keep falling off the wagon, having to restart yet again. 

I dreaded my job as a Nurse and had no energy to enjoy time with my children. All I wanted to do on my time off was do nothing! 

I remember saying to myself, “I can’t live like this anymore; I have to do something about it,” and that was when I found a coaching program.

I learned what really does work to lose weight for good.

I learned that I didn’t need another diet telling me what to eat because I already knew that.
I learned that my struggles were because of WHY I was overeating, WHY I couldn’t stick with things long term so that I didn’t fall off the wagon and HOW to stop all of that! 

I was able to do what I thought was impossible. 

That program showed me that it was all related to BUSYNESS and STRESS in my job and life. 

It helped me end the BS CYCLE, and when I did that, I finally got the confidence, self-esteem, and self-worth I never had.

I went from dreading my job to enjoying it (without anything at work changing).

I went from hiding away in bed to being present and grateful and enjoying time with my family.

I realized that I had more than enough time to take care of me.

I created a life that I had dreamed of having. AND I lost 100 lbs, and that was 12 years ago!
